Kolkata Police Recruitment Board (KPRB) invites Online/ Offline Applications for the Post of Constable / Lady Constable. Interested Candidates may apply before 19 Dec 2015.

EMPLOYMENT NOTICE NO. 02/2015/KPRB

1. Post Name: Constable
No. of Post: 1061 Vacancies (UR-583, SC-234, ST-64, OBC-A -106, OBC-B - 74 )

2. Post Name: Lady Constable
No. of Post: 106 Vacancies (UR-59, SC-23, ST-6, OBC-A -11, OBC-B - 7 )

Nationality: Indian

Qualification: The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination under W.B.B.S.E or its equivalent examinations.

Age Limit: 18 - 27 Years as on 01 Jan 2015.  Upper age limit is relaxable for SC / ST Candidates of West Bengal Only upto 05 Years and upto 03 Years for OBC-A/OBC-B Candidates of West Bengal Only. The upper age limit is also relaxable for the Ex-serviceman/Home Guard serving in Kolkata Police only as per existing Govt. Rules. 

Pay Scale: Rs. 5400 – 25200 (PB 2) + 2600 (Grade Pay)

Physical eligibility:–

(a) For the post of Constable :

 
(i) Minimum Height: 167 cms.
(ii) Minimum Chest: 78 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation.
(iii) Minimum Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.

Relaxation  in  Physical  measurement  for  the  post  of Constable  will  be  given  to  GORKHA, GARWALI, RAJBANSI and ST in the following manner:-
(i) Minimum Height: 160 cms.
(ii) Minimum Chest: 76 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation.
(iii) Minimum Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.

(b) For the Post of Lady Constable:

 
(i) Minimum Height: 160 cms.
(ii) Minimum Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.

Relaxation  in  Physical  measurement  for  the  post  of Constable  will  be  given  to  GORKHA, GARWALI, RAJBANSI and ST in the following manner:-
(i) Minimum Height: 152 cms.
(ii) Minimum Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be based on Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test & Interview.

Running:
(a) For  the  post  of  Constable: 1600 metres Run to be completed within  06 minutes and 30 seconds.
(b) For the post of Lady Constable: 400 metres Run to be completed within 02 minutes. 

Application Fee (Non-Refundable): All categories of candidates, except those who belong to Scheduled Tribe & Scheduled Caste ( of West Bengal only), shall pay application fees of Rs 150/-. 

No exemption of fee is available to the SC/ST Candidates of other states. They shall be treated as candidate of General Category.

Payment of Application Fees can be made on-line through payment gateway (Bill  Desk) by using Debit Cards / Credit Cards / Net-Banking of any Bank. An amount of Rs. 5/- (Rupees five) only will be charged by the agency concerned (Bill  Desk) as “Service  Charge” for availing Debit Cards / Credit Cards / Net-Banking facility.

All categories of candidates except SC / ST (of West Bengal only) shall pay Rs. 170/- only (Application Fees: Rs. 150/- plus Service Charge: Rs.20/-) to the authorized staff of the Tathya-Mitra-Kendra.

Payment through the Allahabad Bank: The Kolkata Police Recruitment Board extends the facility of paying application fee through all the branches of the Allahabad Bank across the State.
