Job Details: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) invites for the following positions from Indian nationals possessing excellent academic record and relevant work experience:
1. Post Name: Senior Technical Officer (Instrumentation)
No. of Post: 02 Posts (UR-02)
Pay Scale: PB-3 (Rs. 15600-39100) + GP Rs. 6600 (TME: Rs. 54000/-approx)
Qualification and Experience: B.Sc. or equivalent degree with 60% marks/ equivalent grade with minimum 10 years relevant experience OR Diploma in Engg./Tech. of 3 years duration with 60% marks/equivalent grade with minimum 10 years relevant experience OR M.Sc. /equivalent degree with minimum 8 years relevant experience OR B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation with 60% marks/equivalent grade with minimum 5 years relevant experience in handling and maintaining of sophisticate instruments OR M.Tech/equivalent degree with minimum 2 years relevant experience.
Desirable: Knowledge of electronics for maintaining analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC-MS, spectrophotometers, fluorimeters, microscopes etc.
Age Limit: Below 45 Years
2. Post Name: Technical Officer
No. of Post: 01 Post (OBC-1)
Pay Scale: PB-3 (Rs. 15600-39100) + GP Rs. 5400 (TME: Rs. 45800/-approx)
Qualification and Experience: B.Sc. or equivalent degree with 60% marks / equivalent grade with minimum 8 years relevant experience OR Diploma in Engg./Tech. of 3 year duration with 60% marks/ equivalent grade with minimum 8 years relevant experience OR M.Sc. or equivalent degree with 60% / equivalent grade in the relevant subject with minimum 3 years relevant experience in a research laboratory. OR B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree with 3 years relevant experience OR M.Tech.
Desirable: Knowledge of handling and maintaining of routine chemistry lab equipments required for science laboratories. Handling of chemicals and solutions, to help in the procurements, to assist the faculty in designing practical for UG students and to help the Ph.D. students in use of analytical instruments.
Age Limit: Not More than 40 Years
3. Post Name: Technical Officer (ICT)
No. of Post: 01 Post (UR-1)
Pay Scale: PB-3 (Rs. 15600-39100) + GP Rs. 5400 (TME: Rs. 45800/-approx)
Qualification and Experience: B.Sc. in computer science, information technology, computer applications, electronics, instrumentation or equivalent degree with 60% marks/equivalent grade with minimum 8 years relevant work experience OR Diploma in Engg./Tech. (in appropriate field of engineering) of 3 year duration or equivalent qualification with 60% marks / equivalent grade with minimum 8 years relevant work experience, OR MCA/MCS/M.Sc. or equivalent degree with 60% marks in relevant subject with minimum 3 years relevant work experience OR B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree (in appropriate field of engineering) with minimum 3 years relevant experience OR M.Tech. with 1 year of relevant experience preferably in an academic institution.
Desirable: (i) Knowledge and expertise in handling and routine maintenance of standard IT and network infrastructure.
(ii) Experience in configuring TCP/IP based network devices.
(iii) Technical experience of handling, maintaining and trouble-shooting LAN/WAN connectivity.
(iv) Hands on experience on instantiating and configuring firewalls, VPN solutions, switches, routers, wireless network devices, load balancer, bandwidth management, IP telephony.
(v) Working knowledge of network management protocols and software knowledge of system security, system integration principles and technologies of multiple operating systems.
(vi) Networking experience in Linux environment is preferred. Work experience in system administration, software development, hardware and software support.

4. Post Name: Technical Assistant
No. of Post: 01 Post (SC-1)
Pay Scale: PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800) + GP Rs. 4200 (TME: Rs.28600/- approx)
Qualification and Experience: Bachelor Degree in the Physics/Chemistry/Biology or equivalent degree with minimum 3 years laboratory experience OR Diploma in engineering of 3 years duration or equivalent with minimum 1 year relevant experience OR M.Sc./B.E./B. Tech in the relevant subject.
Desirable: Experience in working in research laboratories and handling sophisticated analytical instruments, like spectrophotometers, advanced imaging techniques like live cell imaging, confocal microscopy, etc., and basic data and image processing. Knowledge of basic concepts of light microscopy and optics and ability to train
students in basic principles of microscopy and analytical instruments.
Age Limit: Not More than 32 Years
5. Post Name: Physical Education Instructor
No. of Post: 01 Post (UR-1)
Pay Scale: PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800) + GP Rs. 4600 (TME : Rs.35600/- approx)
Qualification and Experience: Bachelor degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent with 60% marks/equivalent grade; 4 years training experience in a
school/college/ University/Institute.
Desirable: Diploma in coaching from NIS Patiala
Age Limit: Not More than 35 Years
6. Post Name: Lab Assistant
No. of Post: 03 Post (UR-1, OBC-1, SC-1)
Pay Scale: PB-1 (Rs. 5200-20200) + GP Rs. 2000/- (TME: Rs. 17200/- approx)
Qualification and Experience: H.S.C. (12th standard) with 5 years relevant experience.
Desirable: Experience of working in Physics/Chemistry/Biology laboratories in colleges or research institutes.
Age Limit: Not More than 27 Years
