Hiring Process: Candidates who have passed the written test and PFT will be interviewed. Working knowledge of English is a prerequisite.

Job Details: Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from all the Districts of State of Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam and Mizoram to become Airmen.

Qualification: (a) Candidate should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
                                                                   OR
(b) Three year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute.

Pay Scale: During training, a stipend of Rs. 8,550/-pm will be paid. On completion of training, starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Dearness Allowance (DA), for Group 'X' (Technical) trades will be Rs. 21,414/-per month (approximately) [Pay in Pay Band – (Rs. 7,050/-) + Grade Pay – (Rs. 2,000/-) + Military Service Pay (MSP) – (Rs. 2,000/-) + X Group Pay – (Rs. 1,400/-) + DA @ 72% - (Rs. 8,964/-)] which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 37,788/-per month (approximately) [(Pay in Pay Band – (Rs. 13,770/-) + Grade Pay – (Rs. 4,800/-) + Military Service Pay (MSP) – (Rs. 2,000/-) + X Group Pay – (Rs. 1,400/-) + DA @ 72% - (Rs. 15,818/-)] as per sixth pay commission depending upon the rank attained. Other allowances such as Transport allowance, Composite personal maintenance allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration allowance (LRA), Family planning allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to airmen.

How to Apply: Recruitment Rally For Group 'X' (Technical) Trades At HQ Eastern Air Command, Upper Shillong, Nonglyer Post,Shillong (Meghalaya) From 22 November 2012 To 25 November 2012.The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates reporting up to 10 AM at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.

The Recruitment Test is not for selection as Officers/Pilots/Navigators.
