Job Details: In response to Govt. of West Bengal, Home (Police) Deptt. G.O. No.1949 -PL Dated 25.04.2012 & 2673-PL Dated 01.06.2001, applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Constable in Kolkata Police.

Qualification: The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination under W.B.B.S.E or equivalent.

Eligibility: The candidate should be meritorious sportsman subject to the provisions given below:-
Sportsman who have represented in a State or National or International level competition, Inter- University Tournaments (Conducted by The Inter-University Sports Board) and National Sports/Games for Schools (Conducted by the All India School Games Federation) in the following sports and games:-

1. Athletics including Track and Field events.
2. Badminton
3. Basket Ball
4. Cricket.
5. Football.
6. Hockey
7. Swimming.
8. Table Tennis
9. Volley Ball
10. Tennis
11. Weight lifting
12. Wrestling
13. Boxing
14. Cycling
15. Gymnastics
16. Judo
17. Rifle Shooting
18. Kabaddi
19. Kho-kho

Age Limit: 18-27 Years as on 01/01/2013

Physical Eligibility:-
 (1) Minimum Height – 167 cms.
 (2) Minimum Chest – 78 cms. with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation.
 (3) Minimum Weight – 55 Kg.
Relaxation in Physical eligibility for the post of Constable will be given to GORKHAS, GARWALIS, RAJBANSIS and ST in the following manner:-
(1) Minimum Height – 160 cms.
(2) Minimum Chest – 76 cms. with minimum Expansion of 5cms. by inhalation
(3) Minimum Weight 52 Kg.

Pay Scale:  Rs. 5400 – 25200(PB 2) + 2600 (Grade Pay )

Examination Fee (Non Refundable): fee of Rs 150 /- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty only) shall have to be paid through Postal Order in favour of “Kolkata Police Recruitment Board” payable in Kolkata.
